Very nicely decorated, with an urban flair. While some may feel that it is too far away from the river area, I really like the quiet feel that comes with this location on the south side. Spa facilities were okay, I wasn't overly impressed. Room was fine, no problems. Mini-fridge would've been nice.

For a 4 star hotel, I was ultimately disappointed in the Chattanoogan. I went with my son for an adventure. The movie channel choice was unbelievably poor. I have stayed at 2 star hotels that give you HBO. This hotel makes you pay $12.50 for a 24 hour Smovee card. We ordered room service as a luxury. The pizza literally looked as if it had been dropped and then piled haphazardly back in the box. My Cobb salad had not even a whisper of blue cheese, but instead had tons of onions and corn on it. I was very disappointed. My son did enjoy the pool and exercise area, but both times we went to the hot tub it was barely lukewarm. The valet staff was very pleasant. The facility is beautiful and welcoming with the fire place in the lobby. The staff at the front desk were pleasant but not always around. The restaurant was beautiful and had terrific food with exceptional staff. Overall it was a very pleasant stay. ...read more

We enjoyed our stay at the Chattanooga. The fireplace they have at the entrance is awesome! The staff was very friendly as well as the valet parking personnel. We were very close to the aquarium, movie theater, and awesome restaurants. My only problem was that you could hear everything outside of your room. The hotel was very attractive on the outside and in the lobby. The rooms were not clean. There was a ton of dust. We were looking for an earring that was dropped and discovered that under the furniture was filthy. The beds were terribly uncomfortable, made up of cheap mattresses with a feather-top cover.
